DATTA Design Thinking Conference June 2014
During the DATTA conference I conducted a workshop on various techniques using Vliesoix/Bondaweb to create alternative surfaces for stitching.

Canberra May 2014
I spent six hours with a group of teachers from Canberra through the Home Economics Institute of Australia exploring Creative surfaces for stitch. Below are details of the areas we explored.

Adventurous approaches to surface quality, which stimulates creative thinking amongst students. These practical activities link to the design elements and help students familiarize themselves with the elements. Explore the use of Nappy Liners and Vliseofix to create unique textures incorporating fibers, paper and fabric. Each participate will leave with a sample booklet containing techniques and instructions for each method, giving participates the opportunity to reflect. These methods allow success for all students as they are simple methods but yield high results, they can be extended on and develop as much as individuals allow them. They open the door from home economics to crossing over into subject areas such as Arts and Technology.
Melbourne June 2013
I facilitated a 2 hours workshop for the Victorian Home Economics Institute of Australia conference. Participants created a sample booklet to use as samples in the classroom.
